| What is the A.C.F | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

The ACF is a youth organisation sponsered by the British Army. We recruit young people from the age of 13-18 years. There is no pressure at any time to join the British Army or any other armed forces. At present we have approximaterly 1000 cadets that are in the ACF though out the county. These 1000 cadets are then slip down into companys of around 150 cadets. Cadets offer a wide variety of interesting and demanding challenages suitable for all levels of fitness and mental ability. Activites range from shooting, Drill, Duke of Edinburgh Awards, Adventurous training, shooting and map work. We also do weekend camps away to a variety of locations across the UK. Then in the summer we go away for annual camp for 7 days. Often the highlight of the cadet year. These camps bring together a series of training and testing as well as a great laugh.
